Materials/Colors
This page acts as an overview of the 3D Printer Filaments used here at J-Tech 3D Printing. If there's a color option not shown here that you're deadset on using for your project, let us know and we'll see if that particular color option can be obtained. We're always looking to expand our options and if there's a high enough demand it will be reviewed to be added into the lineup.
The brands we use are PolyMaker (PLA, PETG, TPU, CF ), Hatchbox (PLA ), Sunlu(PLA, CF ), OVERTURE(TPU, CF ), Amolen(PLA SILK ), and 3DXTECH (CF )
Filament Type & Uses
PLA - Polylactic Acid
By far the most used filament in 3D printing for its affordable cost, versatility, reliability and usability. Good strength and stiffness. Great for prototyping, pattern making, tooling parts, or end use parts. Also the go to for making figures, models, Knick knacks, and pretty much anything that doesn't require high impact use.
PETG - Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol
PETG filament is an extra tough 3D print material that has an extremely high-strength which can achieve very sturdy and strong prints. It has very low shrinkage which makes it perfect for larger flat surfaces and is an excellent alternative to ABS or PLA. It's used in quite a bit of mechanical parts and robotics which is helped by it's great chemical, water, acidic and alkalic resistance.
TPU - Thermoplastic Polyurethane
TPU is a flexible, abrasion resistant thermoplastic. Depending on the blend it can be very soft but are extremely durable and have the ability to withstand ambient temps of up to 80C (176F). Along with durability, TPU can withstand impacts and is resistant to many chemicals. As mentioned above it is extremely flexible which makes it one of the more unique 3D printing materials.
CF - Carbon Fiber Infused Filament
When Carbon Fiber is infused into filaments it boosts the strength, stiffness and dimensional stability of the part to make it higher-performing than it's base plastic. It's commonly used with PLA filaments and PETG filaments. However, these blends tend to be more expensive than it's base plastic that's it's infused into.

PolyMax™ PLA
PolyMax™ is a family of advanced 3D printing filaments produced with Polymaker’s Nano-reinforcement technology, to deliver exceptional mechanical properties and printing quality.
PolyMax™ PLA is an incredibly easy-to-print filament with improved mechanical properties, making it an excellent alternative to ABS.
PolyMax™ PLA features nano-reinforcement technology which significantly increases its ductility. Ductility is the ability of a material to exhibit plastic deformation before fracture.
In simple words, PolyMax™ PLA will always bend instead of breaking. The opposite of ductile materials can be seen as brittle materials.

Clear/Transparent Filaments
Clear filaments, contrary to their name, are transparent but are not as clear as glass. They diffuse light nicely, such as if you need LED lights to shine through or lamp shades. However, clear PETG tends to be slightly more transparent due to being printed at higher temperatures than PLA. On the other hand, TPU because of it's structure can be quite clear, such as printing phone cases.
